Cavo de la Huertas are mainly coves and they are situated between San Juan and Albufereta. This beach is different to the others around Alicante because of these secluded, private coves.
These coves do cater for nudists, so you just need to be aware of this.
What's great about the area is the entertainment that the rocks provide, with jumping and diving off them being the main attraction. But do be careful if you decide to do this. Be aware of currents and of the underwater rocks. This beach is good for walking and a bit of solitude.
There are two areas that can be reached by car or by using bus number 22 (which goes to San Juan). These are Cala de los Judios and Cala Cantalares. As they are quite difficult to get too these coves inparticular are frequented by nudists.
This beach is different to the other Alicante beaches because it is so rocky. It is part of a quiet and tranquil residential area and there is a lighthouse.
Cabo de la Huertas are great for snorkeling but do take note of the following safety advice
If you do swim away from shore then tow a marker buoy. Watch out for sea urchins, wear flippers or plastic shoes when snorkeling or swimming near cliffs and rocks, and be careful where you put your hands.
