All The Information You Need

The Alicante bus network is a substantial network of buses that link Alicante to local towns and villages and with more national towns and cities.

The Alicante bus also links you through to other transport options. Alicante airport, the RENFE train station, and the TRAM network can all be picked up from using the buses.

The Estacion de autobuses Alicante is located at Calle Portugal 17. It is well served by taxis and there are lots of timetable information within the station.

So if you know you want to travel to Germany (for example) you can visit the website listed under International routes above, look for Germany and then note that Eurolines does the trip then you would look at the information below, find Eurolines and access their website or telephone number from there.

www.alsa.es has to be the best website out there. It is so easy to navigate and displays the buses, bus routes and timetables in an easy to understand and convenient manner.

Quite frankly the other websites available are inferior to ALSA and they really need to catch up to cater for the foreign traveller.

Subus

TAM is the Alicante Metropolitan Transport Company and you can view their timetables at www.subus.es

TAM (Transporte Alicante Metropolitano) control the bus routes, pricing and timetables for the lines of Alicante and El Campello, Sant Joan and San Vicente y Mutxamel.

The Subus website is difficult to navigate around but the way you need to approach it is as follows. There are three tabs along the top, make sure the second one says "Nuestra Web". Then you need to make a choice from the third tab. The third tab is a list of the Subus lines, so if you wanted the airport you would choose "aeropuerto". The 4th tab now becomes active and shows you there are 3 lines that go to the airport C-6, 1-A and 1-B. When you choose the line number the stops are displayed on the main page. You can see from these lines that C-6 serves alicante city and the airport, whilst 1-A and 1-B serve Elche and the airport.

Eurolines is a booking and information service for long distance coach journeys across the European continent. There are departure points across Spain, including towns on the Costa Blanca. The website is in Spanish but there is an English version also.

Latbus is Murcia's regional bus service providing routes in Murcia, Molina de Segura, Ricote, Ulea, Archena, San Javier and San Pedro del Pinatar.

Llorente Bus

Llorente Bus company run almost 50 routes around the Benidorm/ Alicante region. Each journey on a Llorente Bus is a fixed price and tickets are purchased on board. Frequent

travellers have the option to buy a book of 20 tickets at a reduced rate per ticket on the price of individually bought tickets.

Booking website

I have found the following website to provide good information regarding timetables. It is principally a booking website but clearly lays out the timetables and costs as part of the booking process. So you don't have to use it to book your tickets - just use it to view timetable information.
