Spain is a deeply traditional, religious country with their main religion being Catholicism. As such the history of their religion is precious and celebrated. One of the important celebrations in the Catholic calendar is Christmas and the Museo de Belenes is dedicated to the deeply traditional and sacred scene of the nativity.
The Museum of Nativity Scenes is located in a traditional house in the old town and is filled with works from the Association of Belen de Alicante and around the world. This original and unique museum keeps alive the importance of the nativity, although there are other works of art depicting Jesus' life at different stages. The works of art take different forms but they are all produced by first class artists.
More suitable for older children than youngsters.
